Introduction
There is a wide range of non-curricular activities and sports on offer at Cundall Manor to all pupils.
Pre-prep pupils are able to enjoy Adventurers which involves outdoor activities, art and craft, cultural celebrations and a camping expedition. Tennis is an option after school and dancing is enjoyed by many of the girls. A minibus takes children to riding lessons once a week from pre-prep and main school, where ponies can be borrowed or lessons given on the child’s own pony.
Saturday activities, which are voluntary, enables pre-prep children to embark on a wider range of sports and football is played in the winter with cricket in the summer.
Main School pupils can enjoy golf on the School’s 9-hole golf course, woodwork, Judo and much more. Non-curricular activities include tennis, shooting in the School’s shooting range, judo, fencing and chess which are undertaken either at lunchtime or after school.
Adventurers is a very popular activity where children have to fulfil requirements in four different disciplines: Service, Physical Recreation, Skills and Expedition to work towards their Gold Award in Form 6.
Outdoor pursuits form an integral part of all our pupils’ education at Cundall Manor, enabling the pupils to explore the great outdoors and all the activities it provides. All pupils are challenged with walking, climbing, canoeing, sailing, shooting and camping – and achieve immense satisfaction reaching their goals.
