The Day In Nursery
Morning session: 8.30 am – 11.45 am
8.30 – 8.50: Children arrive in the Nursery. A range of activities are available for the children, including sand, water, play-dough, construction, art and craft, imaginative play-area and puzzles.
8.50 – 10.00: A variety of focused and free flowing activities are planned encompassing the six areas of the Foundation Stage
10.00 – 10.10: Circle times (weather, birthdays etc)
10.10 – 10.20: Drink and snack time
10.30 – 11.00: Outdoor Play
11.00 – 11.30: Small group games and activities
11.30 – 11.45: Story and music time
11.45 End of session
LUNCH
Afternoon session: 12.30 pm – 3.15 pm
12.30 – 1.30: Outdoor play
1.30 – 3.0: A range of activities are offered for children to learn through play. These are planned to complement those offered in the morning.
3.00 – 3.15: Music and story time
3.00: End of session

The Day in Pre-Prep
8.30 – 8.45: Arrival – a range of structured play activities are planned to encourage children to settle with ease
8.50 – 9.00: Register and Circle Time
8.50 – 9.20: Assembly (House Assembly, Whole School Assembly, Star Worker Assembly)
9.20 – 10.10: Literacy or Numeracy, with high level of active participation
10.10 – 10.30: Drink and snack
10.30 – 11.00: Outdoor Play
11.00 – 11.45: Teacher-led activities as above
11.45: Prepare for lunch
12.00 – 12.30: Lunch in the Dining Hall
12.30 – 1.30: Outdoor play
1.30 – 3.00: A range of activities, including Art, DT, French, PE, Knowledge and Understanding, ICT, RE
3.00 – 3.20: Music and story time
3.20: The school day finishes
