Some brilliant saves from Harriet Bagley and excellent reverse stick action from Maddie Phillips. We then played Pocklington who were representing Humberside and lost 3-1. Harriet Green played very well in attack and after coming 2nd in our group we went through to play Wakefield High who were representing West Yorkshire. A very pleasing result and a very happy Mrs Walkland finished the day off by coming 3rd in the north east of England. A very big thank you to Mrs Walkland for excellent dedication and coaching.

Bronze Award Dance Outing
Sunday morning and six sleepy students side step into the unknown! The day of reckoning had arrived for Maddi, Phil, Sophie, Alex, Olivia and Will as they dared to leap out of their comfort zone and take their Bronze Freestyle Dance Award at
D.M Academy in Shipley. After a half term of hard work, learning routines based on jazz, hip-hop and breakdancing, the students nervously awaited their turn in front of the examiner. After a swift warm-up it was all over very quickly, with the boys examined first and the girls following on. Feedback was good and they tell me that they smiled! We will get the results in the next couple of weeks, so fingers crossed.
