Cambridge Chamber Consort -Fauré Requiem
On Saturday evening, 15th November the Chamber Choir joined forces with the Cambridge Chamber Consort at St. Columba's Church Topcliffe. The two choirs combined in a performance of the Fauré Requiem and during the second half of the concert the choirs sang some of their favourite numbers and combined to sing Rutter's ‘The Lord Bless you and Keep You'.
It was a splendid evening of music and a fantastic opportunity for our children to sing with the Cambridge Choir - musicians of such a high standard. The children rose to the challenge and performed with assurance and confidence, producing a wonderful sound. Well done to the Chamber Choir and many thanks to Mr Sladden and his choir and also to the Cundall 50th Appeal Committee who organised the evening raising a wonderful £1,186.30. It was certainly an experience many people will never forget. WF
CDs of the Fauré Requiem, recorded by the Cundall Manor Chamber Choir and the Cambridge Chamber Consort at the wonderful recent concert at Topcliffe Church, are now available to order at the School Office. ONLY £8 - all proceeds to the Cundall 50 Appeal. Please pay for and place your order by Friday 5th December in time for pre-Christmas delivery. A superb stocking filler for a relative, a great fund-raiser for school and a beautiful recording of a fabulous concert. Nicely packaged in a school colours striped case. Don't miss this opportunity!! ORDER YOUR COPY NOW.
Junior House Netball
Well done to all of the girls who took part in the competition - it was great to see the mixed ages working together on court. The standard of netball was very high and some of the younger players certainly rose to the challenge and were not afraid to get involved. Congratulations must go to the Stuarts for a very well deserved win, helped along by some great shooting from Charlotte Saxby and Alice Foster:
1st Stuarts - 25 points, 2nd Normans - 20 points, 3rd Saxons - 15 points, 4th Tudors - 10 points. JS

Last week saw some excellent rugby played across the age groups. On Saturday the boys travelled up to a frozen Northumberland to play Mowden Hall. The 2nd XV continued their good progress with a super 33-0 victory. The Under 11s fought out a well earned 28 all draw and the Under 10s lost to an injury time try.
Wednesday saw the senior boys entertain Red House. The 1st XV produced a controlled performance winning 55-7 while the 2nd XV also ran out comfortable winners. Bow proved to be stern opposition for the Under 11s but the Under 9 Lions earned a well deserved victory.
Saturday sees matches against Malsis and on Wednesday we entertain Bronte House. JSa
