The Railway Carriage

We have been made aware that we might need planning permission for the railway carriage so for the moment the project is on hold until we can clarify the position.  Therefore the Coast to Coast and Lyke Wake Walks are also postponed for now.

Opening of the Jaytee Foundation Building

It was a great honour and privilege to welcome Dr John Sentamu the Archbishop of York to school on Friday.  The Archbishop entertained us all with his addresses at both the Pre-Prep and Main School Assemblies.  Parents and children were equally impressed with his homily and those pupils taking confirmation classes were very fortunate to be able to have the time to talk with him.  Despite the inclement weather the official cutting of the ribbon by the Archbishop to open the building was a momentous occasion.  It was a wonderful way to celebrate all the hard work that has gone into the new building and a morning that will not be forgotten.  Many thanks to Dan Sladden for arranging the visit.

House Quiz Night

The Friends of Cundall would like to invite all parents and friends to the annual Parents' Quiz Night on Friday 5th February.  This is always a highlight of the school social calendar and tickets are selling quickly so please pick up yours from the School Office soon to avoid disappointment. Tickets are £10 each, and include supper.

We look forward to seeing you there.
