Painted Easter Egg competition
A reminder to all that the judging of the Easter Egg Competition will take place next Friday (19th March). Entries will be accepted up until 9.00am on the day. We look forward to seeing your magnificent masterpieces coming in!
Congratulations Hugo!
Congratulations to Hugo Adams on achieving the Basil Hume scholarship to Ampleforth College.
Rugs please!
Our Mongolian yurt is now in place above the Adventurer’s corral. It’s a magnificent structure and an exciting new teaching space for the school. Its wool and felt lining means it can be used all year round, but the floor would benefit from a layer of draft-proofing rugs, Bedouin style. If you have any spare rugs, in any size, shape or colour, we would gratefully accept them. AS
Forms 3 and 4 Production, Thursday 18th March
Can parents please ensure their children are collected from school at 5.00pm and brought to the Galtres centre in Easingwold by 6.30pm next Thursday. Tea will only be provided at school for the Thursday boarders.

The ‘Trebuchet’ Challenge
The project for this end of term is to build a car powered only by an elastic band.
Points will be awarded for:
• Distance travelled
• Speed
• Adherence to course (does it travel in a straight line!)
• Design
The only restrictions are:
• The power must be from bona fide elastic bands – not strips from inner tubes or similar
• The car must be self-propelling – the elastic bands cannot be used to ‘catapult’ the car
Groups are restricted to a maximum of 4 pupils but adult help is allowed
Suggestions for designs can be found on the following websites:
