Summer Uniform

A reminder that this is the last week of winter uniform this term. All pupils must be in summer uniform after half term. Boys' polo shirts and girls' gingham skirts and blouses are available from the Uniform shop.

Summer Fair Success

The Friends of Cundall would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who helped make last Saturday's Summer Fair such a tremendous success. The day raised a staggering £5,800. A special thank you must go to all the children who set up and manned stalls all day. They alone raised over £700!                          Debbie Keegan

Cundall Gardeners

A fantastic £372 was raised on the plant stall at the summer Fair on Saturday.  Thank you to all parents and friends who bought plants from the children. Many thanks too for donations of plants and the delicious rhubarb from Mrs Milton!

A sincere thank you to Sir Ken Morrison and his family who worked tirelessly on the stall and brought along a wonderful selection of plants to sell.

Mr and Mrs Greenwood have kindly donated a picnic table and some plant pots for the vegetable garden.

Thank you.                                                                                                                                                   VW/KH

Scarecrow Competition

The scarecrow competition winners were:-

Tabitha Milton, William Newby, Callum Throup and Anthony Hunzinger. Congratulations to all!

The scarecrows have taken up residence in the vegetable plot.                                                      VW/KH

Greenhouse

We are trying to source a 10' x 8' greenhouse for the vegetable garden with the money we have raised

together with a donation from the Friends.  If anyone can help in securing the best price for us could they

please contact Mrs Wick on 01765 640245. Thank you.                                                                         VW

Speech Day Cups and Trophies

Many thanks to all who have returned silverware from last year's Speech Day.  Will all those who still have cups and trophies please ensure they are engraved and returned after the half term break.

Nursery trip to Thorpe Perrow Arboretum

The Nursery enjoyed a wonderful trip to Thorpe Perrow last Thursday. A fun packed morning was had by all in the adventure playground, followed by the Birds of prey display and finally a tour of the mammal centre.  A picnic on the lawn and an ice-cream in the beautiful sunshine rounded off a perfect day. Thanks to the parent helpers and well behaved children!

Book Amnesty

The library is offering a book amnesty between now and half term. Any library books - no matter how overdue they are - may be returned to the library without any fear of reprisal! The library is an invaluable (but costly) resource for the whole school and Mrs Kayll will be grateful just to have these books returned to the shelves for others to enjoy.

ACE Spelling Dictionaries

Several parents recently placed orders for ACE Spelling Dictionaries. These have arrived and will be sent home with pupils on receipt of payment. Please forward payment of £6 (cheques made payable to Cundall Manor School) to the School Office/Special Needs Department.
