Headmaster's Show-ups

SPEECH DAY/PRIZEGIVING, SATURDAY 26^th JUNE

9.30am            ALL Main School children must report to the school gym in Formal wear (White shirt, tie and blazer for boys;  summer gingham, blue socks, blazer for girls). Please ensure shoes are polished and hair is brushed/tied back!  Any Pre-Prep children wishing to attend should be in formal uniform and must sit with their parents in the marquee.

10.00am          Coffee will be served for parents in the marquee

10.30am          Speeches will start

12.30pm          Speeches and prize giving should finish at approximately 12.30pm. Children will then be free to join their parents for their picnic lunch in the school grounds. The Ball Committee have asked if parents could refrain from using the marquee for their picnics as they will be preparing the venue for the Summer Ball.

THERE WILL BE NO PRE-PREP ACTIVITIES THIS SATURDAY

ALL PRE-PREP SWIMMING (EXCEPT RECEPTION) IS CANCELLED NEXT WEEK

Three Peaks Challenge

Congratulations to form 6 who all managed to complete all three peaks - an amazing achievement.  Please could sponsorship money be handed in to the school office as soon as possible.

IF ANYONE HAS A SCHOOL ICE PACK PLEASE COULD IT BE RETURNED TO THE KITCHEN

Go-Karting 2010

Apologies for the error in last week's newsletter regarding the date of the go-karting contest. This year's contest will take place on the afternoon of Tuesday 6^th July at 2pm.

Tennis Coaching

Mary Rose will be holding tennis courses and tournaments throughout the summer holiday.  Please see her website www.maryrosetennis.co.uk for all course and tournament dates, and application forms.

PP2 to Form 1 Parents Welcome Evening, Tuesday 29^th June

Please could you let Mrs Kirby know if you will be coming to the PP2 Parents' Welcome Evening.  If you have children who have already been in Form 1, there is no need to attend. Thank you                                       IR

Form 6 Leavers' Service

We are looking forward to welcoming all parents and family of Form 6 to their Leavers' Service at Cundall Church on Friday 9^th July at 10.45am.

School Disco

The End of Term Disco, where we will be celebrating the Form 6s' time at Cundall Manor, is open to all Main School pupils. The dress code is NEON!

Cricket Bats for India

Many thanks for the cricket bats that have been donated for the Upper School expedition to Darjeeling in India this summer. Any further old bats that are looking for a new home will be gratefully received.

House Polo-Shirts

The Friends are still taking orders for House Polo Shirts! All sizes available, from age 7 to adult. £15 each. Please contact Debbie Keegan direct (07909904994) to place your order.

 Late Collection of Pupils

Whilst we do appreciate your efforts to let your children know, via the school office, if you are going to be late picking them up, it is often impossible to get messages to individual children after 1pm registration.  Please rest assured that all children not collected by 5.10pm will be taken into prep to await collection. Messages regarding significant delays will of course be communicated to them once they are in prep.

Friends Catering Hire

A reminder that the Friends have a full 100 setting dinner service (plus candelabra, table decorations etc) for hire. Please contact Debbie Keegan (07909904994) for further details.

Please can all pupils remember to bring sun cream, a sun hat and a water bottle for games or any other outdoor activities during this fabulously sunny spell. Thank you
